The build of the Shangdong CV-17 along with her smaller Russian built sister the Liaoning, and the island builds in the South China Sea announce their intention to dominate the region. Especially now, after them jerking us around with a North Korea assist that never came. I wouldn't trust them an inch. Long term? The one thing we have going for us diplomatically is that China is motivated by money and prestige...where "The Bear's" motivation is paranoia and mostly pure arrogance mixed with a little crazy. Unlikely they will first strike, but if history teaches us anything...

Thank you for your opinion on this. I know that President Trump alluded to that he would Overlook China's purposely deflating their currency if they would play ball and help us out with North Korea so our president is trying to help them because the only thing they seem to respect besides power from a barrel of a gun is a good return on their investment. I just can't wait to see what happens if and when Japan shoots down one of the North Korean missiles with the thaad or with the Japanese destroyers with Aegis missile system because their destroyers are almost bigger than our Cruisers.

Thank you sir, Nine years Navy and over 25 as a contractor working for DoD and several other "similar" agencies has given me a keen sense BS and a healthy paranoia. While "the Bear" was more my thing than "the Dragon", I learned never to go in eithers cave without a really big gun. I also learned that the guys who have the most to lose are the last to pick a fight. This of course doesn't apply when crazy walks in the door, so you still need to keep an ear to the ground. I seem to recall someone saying "Trust but verify". Based on my experience Majors in command groups tend to be communications, intel, or War College. So, I assume you already know the facts of anything discussed here and quite a bit of what cannot be discussed here, but it's nice of you to ask anyway.

Well, MSgt Steven Conway I often contemplate the fact that, in end times eschatology, America is never mentioned.

LTC (Join to see) - Chinese military technology is still stuck in the Cold War, Iran isn't launching nuclear weapons on anyone, and North Korea isn't gonna do anything.

SPC (Join to see) - true but dr. Khan from Pakistan was the one who gave the secrets to Libya, North Korea and Iran to develop nuclear weapons. I personally don't trust the Iranians and if they were stupid enough to launch an attack they'll be nothing left of their cities

Take a look at her island...see any stolen US tech there. The radar screens sure look familiar for one. If you think the "Big PRC" is stuck in the Cold War; might want to look again, Luv your gung-ho though.
