We truly have some amazing chaplains. Have you read the story of the 4 chaplains?

MAJ (Join to see) - They Did. There was a 2004 TV Movie called Sacrifice at Sea that was about them. There was talk in 2008 about making a full length movie about the sinking of the Dorchester and the actions of the Chaplains. The Movie was to me called "Lifeboat 13" but the last mention of it was in 2013. No more talk had been released. The American Legion has Remembrance Services every year all over the Republic in February in their Honor to keep their story of selfless sacrifice alive.

I served briefly aboard his namesake, the USS O’CALLAHAN, DE-1051, in Viet Nam in 1971.

I wonder just how many now even know of the sacrifices of the crew of the USS Franklin. Great post!
