It was a 7% win, neither were the incumbent since the seat was vacated by Pompeo. Not sure how that isn't a good win. Certainly Pompeo won by larger margins but he is/was a well know name and the incumbent. The Dems were salivating over taking this seat. They lose again, that is all that matters.

SFC William H. - I think for Pompeo that was the power of incumbency and name recognition on top of being in a red state. There is also no doubt the dems dumped a lot of money into that election to try to deliver a negative result for the GOP.

Cpl Jeff N. - Right again...Dems dumped 200,000 in last week, Reps spent 90,000....plus DC sent Ted Cruz to get his supporters out.

Everything is a fight, I never expected either party to roll over and play dead. Midterm are going to be good for Conservatives, people are growing tired of the " Hate Trump at any cost " mentality.

PO1 Henry Jackson - I don't think so, remember the news report about the infighting between his son in Law and Steve Bannon? Bannon was saying that Trump's administration is starting to look and sound democratic, than Conservative. So I think press. Trump would lean to the Democrats to get things done if the Republicans can't grow up.

Nothing new here. If the economic situation doesn't improve in the next year, Kansans cannot continue to blame Democrats for their issues and choice in leadership. Hope the politicians in that state get their act together for the sake of family and friends I have there.

Excuse me?! For all eight years of Obama's tenure ... responsibility for the economy was laid on Bush. Trump only gets a one year free ride? ;)

LTC (Join to see) - You're excused. The poor economy in Kansas has a lot to do with the governor they elected twice and the "trickle down" economics he introduced that led to their budget crisis.
As for national economy, yeah 2009 was Obama repairing damage from 8 years of Bush that has led to the last few years of economic recovery and growth. Trump cannot claim credit for any of the continued economic progress for 3 months in office since he hasn't instituted any real economic policies.

MAJ James Woods - Please do explain how Obama or the Obama administration repaired any damage to the economy in the past 8 years!
