The government had better get their act together on this. Too many folks rely on thinking social security will be there for them.

So sad that the right (and Epoch Times is a newsletter for the far right) has taken such a hard pivot to fear. Fear is what the left uses to push through authoritarian measures and keep the masses in line. We saw it in covid, we see it with climate change.
"Could see" is the tipoff here.... If the worst possible thing happens - not just one thing but ALL the things - this is how bad it could get. That type of thinking is great for strategic planners and risk managers - identify all of the potential problems and worst case scenarios so you can mitigate and prevent. But that type of thinking is HORRIBLE for legislators or the public. And it is ridiculously irresponsible for the media.
