i'm mostly ok with this story except the line where they say"...citing a landmark U.S. Supreme Court ruling from 2022 that expanded gun rights." it's restoration, not expansion.

Yea that SCOTUS decision is going to take a decade or more to settle out. Sometimes it's best not to push an issue as the end result is something you never envisioned nor desired.
