They "might be true", but in order to run across Europe, your vehicles have to be able to run. The Russians are known for mass producing items that really don't work (K-19), and items that do AK-47. But if your infantry is going into battle with a company of tanks, and they have to be towed into battle, you've already lost. As crappy and old as some of our equipment is, Russia would have a rather bloody nose (think Ronda Rousey type knockout actually) from us on them. I also didn't see where it took into account cruise missiles, in conjunction with aerial bombing? Tanks aren't the easiest thing to hide, and with todays stealth, and satellite imagery, they'd be found fairly easily. I won't dismiss their Armies ability and desire to fight. Stalingrad proved they are very capable fighters. Their special forces are nicely trained too, but when you look at the total package (this will seem biased), there isn't another recognized military as well trained and equipped as America's. I also didn't see in the article that satellites would see this build up happening(which we would), and be in a position to either move units in a rapid motion to pre positioned stocks, or place units there in a defensive position until reinforcements can arrive. AND I didn't even mention Europe's own fighting ability. I don't think they'll sit back and wait a third time for us to join in.

Just to point out their latest cruise missiles missed their Syrian targets and landed in Iran just to spout off about their reliability.

As you touched on SSG Swan, technically proficient or not, you can't mass an invasion force on the down-low nor can it be done quickly. The reds...er, excuse me, Russians may be able to beat any single European military, but how do they stack up against NATO? Hell, no even-handed military assessment in the world sees Russia as being on par much less superior to us-with or without NATO.
Not that I think they are looking for a real fight against anyone of substance.
