Keep in mind that when you join the armed services you give up some of your rights in order to wear the uniform. We understand this going in; so either this sailor is poorly trained, poorly educated, or most likely doesn't think that the rules apply to her. Another case of the give me generation!

When I joined the US Army my father, a retired Staff Sergeant, told me that military service was not a job it was a calling; that not all can serve. I spent many years wearing my uniform very proudly and taking pride in my ability to stand and salute the flag of the United States. If you don't feel the pride in the uniform and the flag then get out of the service and find a job that doesn't care about your protests - but the armed services are not the place for this garbage!

Amen, I serviced 23 yrs before being retired do to medical. I miss it every day, but if they don't want to stand, go ahead get out before your actions cost you a dishonorable discharge. It's your own fault so either buck up, or get the hell out, we sure as hell don't need more of this crap in our services
