Thanks my friend COL Mikel J. Burroughs for reminding us that time passes and we can reflect on what has transpired. We live moment by moment yet we can remember past times, loves, pains, joys and sorrows and yet hope for the future.
I am back in our tiny and cramped home at Sterling, Virginia for this season. My mother-in-law is pretty much deaf which frustrates my darling wife.
The pit bull was whining in the kitchen when I went to get a cup of coffee so I waited for a time. A child gate separates the dog when necessary :-)
I can climb over the gate but I didn't want to deal with the pit bull yet.
I have been listening to varied music so far today which is typical for me.
Yesterday I paid my mother-in-laws utilities and my wife's debt payments as well as couple annual renewals such as AAA. I will probably pay USSAA auto insurance and pay offerings to a number of Christian ministries.
My wife was saddened that Discover canceled her card because of significant credit issues. I had paid it off a few months ago. I reminded her that I can move funds to her debit card when her mom transitions out of this life.
God always makes a way. We will probably contact Lexington Law to clean up our credit next year in a couple months. I have learned to wait on the Lord as HE guides me each day.
HE is always faithful and true in all things - HIS timing is perfect. I have been waiting on HIM to fulfill a few promises since 2008 which I thank him for each day.
I have been waiting for HIM to fulfill HIS word to me on Monday, June 17, 2013 three times throughout that day. Since then we were evicted, my father-in-law went to be with the Lord, the VA began to cover my medical issues and in October 2016 Army started paying me retired salary, we established a trust for future generations of ours.
I am looking forward to my new home, my 40 year graduation anniversary from West Point in 2020, being planted in a church near where we will live - I expect on the I-81 corridor between eastern Tennessee and South Central Pennsylvania.
