Their actions were totally unprofessional to be sure. That being said, how the Navy handled both of the situations is how ALL government employee's should be treated when they are caught behaving in an unscrupulous manner or breaking the law! Immediate firing and prosecution where needed. The civilian side of government service (including elected officials) the standards appear to be much lower and accountability non-existent. But what do I know ... I'm just an old dumbass grunt.

Well, hold on SEALs have had there problems also. The problem is we are coming off of 16 years of war, and that has produced in some cases war time leaders, and those type leaders make different decisions in War then peace. Some of these senor leaders the first half of their carriers was running Gun trucks and down range deployments.
As for this case don't know, I do know the Master Chief and he is one of the ones I am Talking about. He was good Chief and leader, sometimes people get caught in things that can't get out of. I am Not judging until I hear the Charges.

my old command, back in the day we would have mid deployment party's and a lot of drinking went on. in fact during our deployment to Diego Garica I remember waking up from a heavy rain storm and I was passed out against a tree at 3am.
