This is a really good story of a really good hero in Vietnam in 1970. This man is a real hero and deserved the MOH years ago. But because it was a classified mission in Laos, and we weren't supposed to be there, it took over fourty years to give him what he earned.
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Unofficially, in the jungles of Laos in 1970, hundreds of North Vietnamese troops closed in on a small team of United States Army commandos. Unofficially, as men were shot down, a medic sprinted through a hail of bullets to help, hefting a man over his shoulder as he fired back with one hand. Unofficially, even when bloodied by a rocket, the medic kept going, not sleeping for days as he cared for 51 wounded soldiers.

About time SGT (Join to see). I like the pic of him coming in from the field, sort of reminds me of myself, always a can of beer in hand in those days!

SFC William Farrell, A can of Schlitz beer. One in each hand. I didn't notice those. You've still got a good eye for the beer cans. It's way past time.
