Nobody answering the Suicide Hotline. I would say that warrants a Firing or Two.

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel
SP5 Mark Kuzinski - I concur. Once again the Song Remains the Same. Nothing has changed since Vietnam.

That is interesting SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL. I hope that the Senate will be interested in the upper management and mid-level management instead of just the person at the top. The leaders may be part of the problem but the culture of the VA is also a significant problem at the administrative management levels.

LTC Stephen F. you nail it the administrative management level is part of the problem. I don't understand why the VA fires them (Directors) then a couple of months later they have their job back, is that strange or what?

"The VA IG could not substantiate complaints that some callers were placed on hold, although Kirk cited several examples, including one veteran who posted his 36-minute wait back in 2014 on YouTube"....how in the hell could they NOT substantiate this? Voicemails are stored on some kind of electronic machine, so if they leave a message, it can be retrieved and called back. Where is this device? Hell when you call most places, they clearly tell you "this conversation is being recorded", and I'd bet $20 that anytime you call the "hotline" and speak to anyone, it's recorded there too.
