Why do you use the term radical for those truly following Muhammad? Is it professional and proper at the educated level to do so?

LTC Eric Udouj - I hope the following is not an irritation to you.

I have researched Allah. Known as the one true god out of 360 gods of the Kaaba. Muhammad did not have to explain to Arabs who, or what it was. As my god of the Kaaba is greatest is known throughout history as Hubal, Su'en and Sin.

That would be a good question - are they (the Islamic radicals) truly following what Mohammad has passed down to be Islam - or is it their interpretation of what is in the Quran or the interpretation of certain Islamic scholars. I know what the jihadi would say to that -- but then again... the majority of Islam is not listening to them. As to why I personally use it - because by doing so it places a block between the thinking of a few and their radical ideology and that of the many and Islam itself. There are some who want to truly believe that there is a war against Islam (no one more so than the jihadis themselves) - and yet the hard fact is we are wagging a war on the radical fringe who are conducting a global insurgency while acting in direct support of everyone else. As to what is professional and proper.... is that a political definition and destination within the US political correct thinking world - or the bigger picture of the Long War?

I agree with you 99%. I disagree with your use of the word fringe.
IMO LTC, 85% of Muslims want to live and let live. We are at war with 10 to 15% of 1.2 billion. If I am close, how is that fringe?
