BBC news story on the Shah of Iran. I remember the Hostages being held from the middle of 11th, 12th Grade and through my first semester in College. Iran is the only country to get F-14 Tomcats from us prior to the Shah being forced out. Just think how Iran could have been

In 1964 we performed an air show for the Shan. The show was done in the Indian Ocean from Bon Homme Richard CVA 31. We also highlined him from Bon Homme Richard to a destroyer I think it might have been the USS Blue; but not certain about that. He almost got a saltwater bath.
This took place when Bonny Dick was returning to the western Pacific from the 1st Concord Squadron assignment.
