It's a fairly good piece, the only things I'd observe are that physics neither begins nor ends with Einstein. I've read a fair number of the papers by Einstein, and yet what's constantly omitted is that he actually got the Nobel Prize for physics not for relativity, but for the photoelectric effect. Before my disability, I was a scientist, a pretty real one, and, as a result, I think I've absorbed sufficient science, in a sufficiently wide variety of fields, to kmow that physics doesn't consist solely of astrophysics or cosmology. I realized something a long time ago, that good science, as with many topics, is where one finds it, regardless of the field. The references were all quite real, the subject matter accurate, however, everyone knows the name of Einstein, maybe Heisenberg, who was a flawed and actually pretty evil genius, in point of fact, in Germany during WW2. Einstein, admittedly, tops the list, though many kmow of Feynman, still fewer of Bohr, Dirac, Schrödinger, or Lorentz. Even fewer realize the contributions of Madame Curie, who was quite human and involved in a major scandal in France, during her life, which was interesting to read about. Most generally kmow Einstein was married twice, the second time, I believe, to a cousin, I think. I realize that such analogies tend to make such material digestible for the general public, comparing space to soup, string cheese, or tomato bisque, etc. I've spjust seen too much of it to think of it in that light, also, I've seen far too much material in far too many other fieles to be overly daunted by astrophysics as a topic. It's an interesting one, to be sure, however, so is pure or applied math, chem, comp sci, or engineering, for that matter. Don't get me wrong, it's a good article, honest, I just try to place it in what I deem its proper place and perspective, that's all Tim trying to say, I realize others might disagree of course, many thanks.

Thank you for your well spoken and informative response, I recognize the processes and intellect which are written not in but behind your words. I am honored to make your acquaintance. Thanks for sharing

Much appreciated, believe me, since my disability, I've been trying to find a way to be able to contribute within the bounds of our constraints for me. If you've got any thoughts toward that end, believe me, I'm all ears, I assure you. The rules we're reqd to have me follow can be pretty Draconian, actually, seriously hampering and/or impeding any efforts we make to try to find a way to let me be able to contribute seriously within those rules, which, unfortunately, we simply must have me follow. If you for those reasons have any worthwhile suggestions quite honestly, we'd obv be most enormously indebted, for real, many thanks.

The article points out that the universe is more like a chunky soup than a tomato bisque.
So we have a soup argument, but I'm not really sold on it.
It seemed more stringy to me, and that is a clear argument to God as a cheese maker.
If we stick with Universe as a soup:
Of course each region of the US is going to have their take on it.
In Boston, their going to want the universe more like a Clam Chowder, the argument will be cream or tomato base.
In CA / WA, they are very proud of their Cioppino:
Clams, mussels, white pink shrimp, snow crab, salmon, halibut and cod simmered in a tomato fennel broth, with some grilled bread.
In the MW, I suspect it could be a potato soup or broccoli and cheese.
In the South, we could go either Chili or Greens both would be way thicker than the actual Universe.
Based on the photos in the article , I am going with the Shaw string cheese theory:
Hypothesis:
The universe is made of Wisconsin string cheese and will keep expanding until one day when the string cheese will spring back and collapse on itself. Then it will be feed to a giant husky dog that has barked for it. That is the background noise scientist hear and can't explain, it is the big bark, stop calling it 'the big bang'. Maybe one day we will find out.

Lol, while string (space cheese) theory certainly plays a role, I have a few theories of my own that are far from what in the physics of space would contain any science theory, yet it contains only science fact which we may easily simulate using fun science, radio frequency and harmonic resonate vibrations.
Ever see what happens to sand by exposing it to different sounds frequencies and vibrations.
It takes on the appearance of almost anything you can think of from a snowflake to a blood stream complete with veins stationary while individual cells flow quickly and freely within them.
Genesis, in the beginning there was the word and the Word was with God. In this line of sentence the word that translates as word also translates as sound so then you could also say in the beginning there was sound and got control that sound in the various frequencies of sound are actually the cause of the individual formations that exists and everything. The background sounds then that are flowing everywhere in space would actually be a part of the creation process. Another scripture States all things that are, we're created from things that were, so that all things were created spiritually before they were created physically. Energy we have learned in particle physics quantum physics spatial Sciences neutrino Sciences even environmental Sciences we have come to the realization that energy never ceases to be energy it really changes from one form of energy to another or from one state to another and one of those unknown unknowns is how Limitless is the potentialities of existential states of energy. The Big Bang Theory however you want to say it no matter how you say it with your talking from a science standpoint or from a religious standpoint there must be an original starting point something that existed prior to all that exist therefore even this line of science does not reject existence of God in fact it actually stands nore in proof of.
Granted that is Aaron Theory 101 and is not in any way shape or form even hypothesize much less accepted as any form of anything other than from my own mind and the things that I have seen and learned with my experiences. However it makes sense the only difference between us and the ground we walk on is the frequency at which we vibrate those vibrations are driven by the frequencies of radio waves audible sound and inaudible sound sound itself causes vibration and that vibration causes even the smallest grains to change there physical organization. Why do vehicles with vibrational issues breakdown will quickly vibrations actually change some what the density and strength of the material allowing it to break because it has been affected by vibration. There is sound everywhere in the universe it is omnipresent what is the source AZ to some individual instances I could actually give you information that we have clean from experiences in space pulsars quasars the way a black hole eats energy and then streams it back out in bursts and those burst also make sound which we are able to identify and separate amongst the other sounds in space. So again in the beginning there was the word in the beginning there was sound and God controlled that sound to formulate the organizational structures as God saw fit to organize universe.
Your string cheese Theory inspired me to share my own Theory here and again just fun thoughts paste from within my own mind.
If you think about it though doesn't make sense what is sensible is not always correct and what is correct inside of accessible but when put in that manner I believe at least has merit as one of a thousand other ideas which hold the possibility of holding some future truth. LTC John Shaw
