When I think about life's Journey, I sometimes think I'd have set the world up differently than has God. I sometimes think this because God uses adversity to move us from "the milk of the Word" to the Word's "meat." In other words, we were "babes in Christ" but we put childish things aside and take on the full stature of spiritual adulthood. This occurs through experiencing the hardships and the difficulties of the physical journey. I sometimes wish the Journey weren't so hard but, with the Presence of Jesus of Nazareth through the Holy Spirit, the Way is made more tolerable. Jesus said that he's sent "Another Comforter." The Comforter of His Spirit abides with us forever. I wish, sometimes, that the Journey could be smooth and always easy such that we wouldn't need The Comforter. But, if this were true, we'd remain "babes" and not put away childish things. . . .
