I also stand for and salute when the National anthem is played. i had served proudly in the US Air Force including Vietnam. On a regular basis at the American Legion and AMVETS I and my fellow members pay tribute to our national colors. My 93 year old father is WWII Veteran of the US Navy and both of us are proud of our service. My first relatives arrived in Sudbury, Massachusetts in 1640 and some even fought in the French and Indian War, the from the Revolutionary War up to Me in Vietnam. (as far as I can tell I know of none that fought in the civil war) What that flag and the United States of America means to Me is very important. There isn't and never has been any member of My family that hasn't shown that proper respect and We are all proud of our American Heritage and what that flag and the National Anthem mean to all of us.

Thanks for watching my video... My Grandfather, on my Dad's side, was a Navy man in WWI and my Dad was Navy aboard the Essex Class Aircraft Carrier Bon Homme Richard in WWII. For me, I was in during the Vietnam Era. They were both proud of their service as am I.

Sgt (Join to see) - On another subject, I see You live in Franklin, I'm in Millis, and I'd like to mention We have a coffee at the American Legion Post, located on Route 115, Millis every Thursday morning all year round its entirely social, nothing formal, just getting together with other veterans. You don't even have to be a member of the legion, just a Veteran. You and any other Veterans would be more than welcome to attend. We have coffee and Muffins from a great Muffin place in Medway that are donated by Medway Oil who even deliver them to the post. I'm there almost every Thursday morning. Usually by 0900 there are plenty of guys there and We stay until We decide to go, guys are in and out.

I am at our winter home in Fort Myers until April 11th, so I couldn't make it... LOL! Thursdays I work for my youngest son's IT company and do network alert monitoring... I am actually doing it from FL, now... When I am home I usually go in to the office on Thursdays... That said, I can schedule to work on Wed. or Fri., so when I return to Franklin, I will schedule ahead of time and contact you so you will know when I am dropping in... BTW, my DAV meetings are held the 3rd Saturday of each month... We take January & February (snow) & July and August off (Summer vacations). My Sr. Vice Commander will run our March Meeting and I will run our meeting on April 20th at 10am... You are more than welcome to stop in as my guest...
