So 100 Nobel Laureates speak and we should listen. Let me think back, wasn't Al Gore one... no wait they took that one back. Obama got one too...

While the Nobel prize was a think of esteem at some point, it seems to be an accolade for the left elitist any more.

If GMO was such a great thing, why isn't it accepted world wide? I'm not buying it.

PO1 (Join to see) - my comment on the noble laureates, specifically Gore and Obama was sarcastic humor.

As for the safety GMO foods. There are too many scientist and health organizations denouncing them. As Alan K. has said, whose payroll are they on?

I served with Company F, MSG Bn in Nairobi. I drove from Nairobi, Kenya to Dar Es Salaam once. In Tanzania I drove through an area with probably thousands of acres of fields planted with GMO crops provided by Monsanto and Archer Daniels Midland. They didn't see a lot of Americans on that route. Whenever we stopped for gas they assumed I worked for Monsanto or ADM. Old men and women were in tears when they greeted me. Because of GMO crops designed for their climate, soil, pests, and weeds. For the first time they had a real possibility that most of their children and grandchildren had a very real possibility of living to adulthood. How can that be wrong?

It is very easy to sit here in America, where there is virtually no starvation and very little food insecurity and turn up our noses at very real efforts to feed people that do not have the blessings we have here.

Here are the cold hard facts. If we were to initiate a global ban on GMO crops today, up to a billion people will die from starvation. These self-proclaimed experts with degrees in social sciences (not a real science ) have convinced people in these impoverished nations to turn down these crops. This is actually killing people and these Greenpeace dipshits strut around like they're doing God's work. Next time you see a person bitch about how evil Monsanto is, let them know that their blind hatred of a corporation over things they don't even understand is killing the poorest people in the world.

Wonder whose payroll they were on?......Something must have happened overnight that made Genetically modified crops good for you!!! Those silly Countries that Ban GMO crops from being raised, what the heck do they know anyway? Silly Question: If they are so good for you why are they trying so hard to ban GMO labeling?....Bravo Seirra

Here's a truth bomb for you. Every crop grown for human consumption is a genetically modified organism. For the last 10000 years farms have been selectively breeding the crops they produce to get the best yield and taste they can. The difference between now and then is we now have tools available to do this genetic manipulation very precisely.
