Unfortunately, we've told kids college is the way. The colleges have gone into the realm of fantasy as far as the types of studies.
Taylor Swift is not an area of study that will get anyone hired in the business world. Queer studies wont help you create jobs, or even get one unless you're wanting to be an academic. Even then, you may not get hired.

I will never understand why someone would go to college, put in all that work, and not have a guaranteed quality of life improvement after school. My BSN cost $34,000, DOD paid off $26K, and it has probably made me $2 million.

Well I would hope some of this students would actually give some thought into will this major land me a good paying job. A decent percentage of degree programs are not worth the paper they are printed on.
