Lots of molten sulfur used in the area to produce fertilizer. You don't want to be downwind of the plants for too long, that's for sure.

interesting that identified at higher levels you won't be able to smell it and it will kill you in no time

At Kirkuk Regional Air Base, Iraq we had a lot of hydrogen sulphide not due to the oil fields nearby sometimes the hydrogen sulphide burn off pipes got blown out and our base was covered in hydrogen sulphis gas that made my pneumonia worse. they had a chart in the headquarters showing the level of hydrogen sold fight and how long you could live and if you could smell it or not
