I have no problem with VFW Membership, I'd considered it but including the American Legion, (six term Commander) AMVETS i belong to five Veterans organizations already. I had to limit it somewhere. I don't mind doing Veteran's surveys, no problem there. I think all the organizations though are having trouble growing and there aren't as many younger veterans even available as there once was and many that are don't seem to be joining.

Lawrence, thank you for your response. Your observations are spot-on with other studies that are broader in scope. While my study focuses on VFW, it will likely have a bearing on the other VSOs as well. However, I am finding that some of the newer (non-federally-chartered) VSOs are attracting more participation.
