Interesting interview with former Ambassador to Russia about this on Rachel Maddow last night. She was apparently low level because he said he didn't know her and pointed out that she was actually a Secret Service hire, not State Department.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen Whaaaaaaat? I do not know which would be "worse" - a hire by the USSS or State Dept becoming a spy? Yikes; who did not do due diligence?
