Well my liberal friend PO1 William "Chip" Nagel If the bill authorized hanging by mobs, could see why some would be offended.
I am voting you up for posting the news.
If the hanging was to be conducted by state executioners, this would seem like a low cost alternative to lethal injection and electrocution as well as firing squad :-)
I concur with my friend and brother-in-Christ Cpl Vic Burk
If there was true justice " the convict should be killed in the same manner as they killed the victim. If they shot the victim, they should be shot, burned someone to death in a deliberate house fire, back at them"

LTC Stephen F. I am all for executions of murderers convicted of first degree murder, but I think hanging is ridiculous unless that's the way the convict wants to be taken as the sentence for their crime. Having said that, I also believe that the convict should be killed in the same manner as they killed the victim. If they shot the victim, they should be shot, burned someone to death in a deliberate house fire, back at them, etc.

When thinking on types of execution I consider the oxygenated blood present in the brain at the time of the event, most folks don't. The only humane form of execution is one in which the brain is taken out of the equation before or at the time of the event, and folks are not going to go for a bullet to the head. So, that leaves injection. Render the convicted unconscious first. That's the empath in me talking now.
