Just goes to show you that Teachers aren't aware of anything, especially an education.

My cynical self tells me the faculty is too busy promulgating their "progressive" agenda to pay real attention to their physical environment and students in attendance. I've got a modest proposal: Ban the students and faculty from carrying any personal cell phones, tablets or other communications devices not issued by the school. The school can equip each teacher with a cell phone to enable emergency communications, and you can issue computers to students and faculty to support educational activities. But so long as you allow individuals to carry around their own cell phones and continue their obsession with social media, there won't be real security and no one, student or teacher, will be paying attention to their physical environment.
