Without getting into the pricier stuff out of Woodford County KY, Maker's Mark is good for the price. Jack Daniels same. They've gone wild with all the sippin stuff from both KY and TN. I've read about Van Winkle but never had any. It's pricy and hard to find. I rarely imbibe anyway, and even lean toward Jameson's or Bushmill Irish on rare occasions.

LTC Stephen C.
CWO3 (Join to see), I've toured the Woodford Reserve Distillery in Versailles (Woodford County), KY. I'm pretty sure though, that when I toured the place, it was the Labrot & Graham Distillery that produced Woodford Reserve.

Few people know that Tennessee whiskies, such as George Dickel and Jack Daniel's, meet the regulatory criteria for classification as a straight bourbon, though Jack Daniel's disavows this classification and markets it simply as Tennessee Sour Mash Whiskey rather than as Tennessee bourbon. George Dickel also markets their product as Tennessee Sour Mash Whisky.
However, as defined in the North American Free Trade Agreement, Tennessee Whiskey is classified as a straight bourbon authorized to be produced in the state of Tennessee.
