This is about as unique a story like the Mexican Air Force helping the fight in the Philippines during World War II

The Aztec Eagles. They were trained in Texas, both Pilots and Ground Crews. They flew P-47s during ground support Missions in June-July 1945 I believe. The Squadron is still Active in The MAF.

Agree - and this article goes into good details on how it really all began. but how many knew that it was the French whose equipment and doctrine was what Brazil was using before it reorg'd to fight in WWII?
