Reads good - HOWEVER.. that force has an issue with the Turks, and then there is the issue with the Assad Regime and the Shia-Russo Alliance. Taking a city is hard - but realize that IS has not been beaten back on all fronts and trounced the Shia last month in an offensive no one saw coming. Down and out they are not - and that was despite complete control oft the air by the US and the Russians. The key is not to get wrapped around terrain - the ground goal is not to take "Richmond - but to defeat and destroy the Army of Northern Virginia no matter which place they pick to make a stand." And it must be done in conjunction with an offensive against their ideology or all you have done is won a tactical victory with no way to win a strategic one if they just move somewhere else and build up there.

Dresden is generally understood to have been a strategic error at best and downright organized vengeful murder of noncombatants at worst. To advocate replicating it is to misunderstand history, ethics and warfare.

Bombing of civilians and refugees probably would have been a major war crime had the Allies not been the victors. It made the bombing of the Hague look like childs play.

A Snake is Most definitely more Dangerous Just before it Dies! "Dresden?" That would just live up to this Snakes Portrayal of Us. I don't want to endanger our folks, our Military but I don't want to give our enemies the Propaganda, Information Warfare Victory in the Process.
