Fantastic song, remember it well.

I remember the song well. I chose that song as my farewell speech to my co-workers in the Tucson USPS CFS department in September, 1995. One of the coworkers had brought in a guitar for me on my last day in the Post Office. I did next to nothing except to play guitar that day.

I expect you have pleasant memories of traveling and journeying with family and friends in childhood, teenage years and as an adult. Most likely as a service members or family of service member you were sent at times involuntary to place you had no desire to be during a non-combat area of CONUS and/or OCONUS. Hopefully after being reassigned, you learned to appreciate aspects of where you were stationed. I hope and pray that you and I are content in our circumstances. 'Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, 'I will never leave you nor forsake you.' I pray that each of YOUR adopted sons and daughters who reads this prayer or listens to it is content in our situation and prospects for the near-term future and striving to improve behavior. I pray that we each demonstrate love to our neighbors, friends, coworkers and family members. ‘Godliness with contentment is great gain,’ [1 Timothy 6:6a ESV]. I am thankful LORD that YOU mature us and stretch each of us through challenges, periods of waiting, and periodic disappointment. YOU love us more than we can understand. As the Perfect Father, YOU discipline each of us, admonish each of us, and sanctify each of us by YOUR perfect love Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me.’ [Philippians 4:11-12 ESV]

LORD I pray that YOU disrupt the sexual slave trade and abusive work slave trade of adult men and women – most of whom have been involuntarily shanghaied, kidnapped and/or sold into slavery by family members. YOU allow evil to seem to triumph for a season. YOUR patience was sufficient for each of us to recognize our need for salvation in response to the earnest prayers of the saints for our salvation. I pray that YOU deliver as many of the abused, the sex-trafficked, and slaves from their tormentors and that YOU regenerate the soul of most of them and as a many of their tormenters as YOU are willing. ‘The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost. But I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience as an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life. To the King of the ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen. [1 Timothy 1:15-17 ESV]
I lift the women, girls and young men in Afghanistan to YOU dear LORD. I pray that YOU bring confusion to the minds of the Taliban, ISIL and al-Qaeda thugs and let as many young women and men as possible escape the clutches of the thugs. I pray that YOU bless those who are working to extricate these individuals and families with wisdom, skill, discernment and success as they do all that is necessary to recuse those in peril. ‘keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life. And have mercy on those who doubt; save others by snatching them out of the fire; to others show mercy with fear, hating even the garment stained by the flesh.’ [Jude 1:21-23 ESV]
I pray that YOU protect the at-risk young people from child predators and kidnap rings. I lift those young people already kidnapped and in sex slavery to YOU. Guide trustworthy law enforcement agents and investigators to rescue as many as YOU are willing. I pray that trustworthy counselors with great listening skills will guide these enslaved boys and girls to freedom – especially freedom of the mind after their abusive captivity. ‘“Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me, but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened around his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea.’ [Matthew 18:5-6] Release the captives dear LORD. I pray that fulfill YOUR Word in this generation at this season and free as many captives of the sexual slave trade and slave trades throughout the world. ‘And the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was given to him. He unrolled the scroll and found the place where it was written, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” [Luke 4:17-19 ESV]
I pray that you and I heed the admonition of the LORD on the best use of time

b. Colossians 4:5-6 ESV 'Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of the time. Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.'.

I pray that you and your family members slept well Saturday night and will awoke refreshed and healthy on Sunday morning.
