A couple people suggested an A cappella version so... this is my arrangement of Keith Getty and Stuart Townend's song "In Christ Alone".*Mar 10, 2017 update*...
I expect your attempts to learn more about who you are has resulted in improving relationships with those who love and depend upon you. I hope your relationship with the LORD is foundational to your understanding of who you are. No doubt your transparency, humility, compassion, and love are inspirational to many if not all you interact with regularly. I pray that you and I demonstrate genuine respect to each person we interact with. ‘But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.’ [1 Corinthians 6:11] my brother-in-Christ COL Mikel J. Burroughs.
I pray for humility, transparency, and selfless service for each adopted son and daughter of God who reads this prayer or listens to it. Thank YOU, LORD for dwelling with the soul of each adopted son and daughter of YOURS. YOU are the strong man who nobody can overpower or restrain. By YOUR grace YOU transform our imperfect soul into a reflection of YOUR perfect image. “For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his. We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin. For one who has died has been set free from sin. Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. [Romans 6:5-8 ESV]
I pray that each one of us demonstrates selfless-love to the neighbors and strangers that we interact with. 'Love is patient, love is kind, it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.’ [1 Corinthians 13:4-5] I pray we respect each person we interact since the soul of each person has been created in the image of God. The LORD reminds us to treat others as we would like to be treated. 'So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.' [Matthew 7:12 ESV]
I pray that each parent of young children treats their spouse/partner with respect. I pray they work together to encourage the child/children to explore the world around them and never discourage the wonder children feel. ‘Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him if a great millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea.’ [Mark 9:42 ESV].
Remember the admonition of the LORD as we age gracefully. 'So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.' [2 Corinthians 4:16-18 ESV]
I pray that you and your family members are healthy and refreshed.

Good morning Col Burroughs and Posse and it is another RED Friday. Prayers for all those deployed and for our brothers and sisters who are battling health issues and need our support as well.
Too many people are overly concerned about what others think of them. They cannot handle a negative comment either in person or on social media, hence the new focus on "microaggressions" Have enough faith and pride in yourself, in who you are, for those kind of comments not to damage your self esteem. If this person isn't a critical part of your life, why grant them even five minutes of your time and attention. Either ignore it or say, "thanks for your opinion" and move on to something and/or someone meaningful. Be yourself and be proud of it.

Day 16 of the "RIPRIDE4Vets 2021" - we had about 13 hours of riding for both me and the wife Bella – We got to see some awesome things along the way as we crossed the Mackinaw Bridge and we rode the upper peninsula of Michigan yesterday and some witnessed some of God's great scenery along Lake Superior as well – Bella and I finally got to celebrate our anniversary last night at a great restaurant called 'Pickwick!". Nothing else special to report - the mission continues
