Remember those people and things that are important to you, for as long as they live in our memories they are never really gone.

Good "Red Friday" Afternoon Carl and remembering the things that are most important is so key to developing long and lasting memories. Col Carl Whicker let's continue to remember those who are deployed, those on the front lines fighting COVID-19, and our Veterans who've serviced this great nation; continue to stay resilient and centered and keep yourself and your family healthy.

I expect that your ability to remember well has changed over the years - perhaps names and dates are more difficult to recall. I also expect that images, sounds including music and even smells, and tastes may help you recall memories Carl.
I pray that you and I remember to thank the LORD and praise HIM and that we develop the habit of showing gratitude towards people who assist us from all stations of life. I pray that we treat each person we interact with honor and respect, my brother-in-Christ Col Carl Whicker.
LORD, I pray that YOU prompt each one of YOUR adopted sons and daughters to develop the habit of seeking YOUR counsel first in all aspects of our lives from developing plans to finding a mislaid object.
LORD holy Spirit I thank YOU for dwelling with the soul of each one of YOUR adopted sons and daughters. YOU store the Word of God in our soul and YOU enable us to recall YOUR Word whenever it is required in YOUR perfect timing. I am especially grateful that YOU are an ever-present help and comforter. YOU reveal to each of us the location of the lost coin and other objects when we remember to ask YOU to help us find what we or others misplaced.
I lift YOUR adopted sons and daughters who are experiencing tension in closed quarters during the stay-at-home order to YOU dear LORD. I pray that YOU enable each one to remember their first love is YOU since YOU loved us long before we knew YOU existed. For husbands and wives, parents and children it is important that we love YOU and demonstrate that love by loving those around us.
I lift deployed service members both overseas and deployed to areas in this nation – especially those in close quarters with individuals who are COVID-19 infected to YOU LORD. I pray that YOU improve the immune system capabilities of these deployed to protect them and each person they interact with.
I lift President Trump and Vice President Pence and their wives and children to YOU as well as state governors and elected and hereditary leaders around the world. I pray that YOU prompt each one to focus on what is most important for their areas of responsibilities.
I pray that each one of YOUR adopted children and their loved ones sleep well Friday night.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ.

1. For those who can remember well, I hope and pray that we will be able to remember and honor memories of living, the dead and the missing service members, kidnapped and sex trafficked.

2. My mother-in-law is showing signs of increased dementia so she remembers some things from ago and virtually nothing from the present.

3. As far as deployed personnel in this COVID-19 season, yesterday I received a handwritten letter from oldest adopted son who deployed with 3rd Battalion 75th Ranger Regiment from 2008 to 2011 in combat operations. Deplorably he was imprisoned in 2011 by General Court Martial after the CG at Fort Benning set aside the Article 32 investigation which exonerated my son. My son indicated there was no COVID-19
in 'Nowhere, West Virginia" federal prison and they are on lock-down. He asked how we were doing here. I intend to write back to him very soon.

Good Friday, April 24, 2020 morning my memorable friend COL Mikel J. Burroughs

I learned long ago to write notes on the back of photos or in margins and to journal in detail since I expected my ability to recall specifics would become more challenging as I aged.

LORD, I pray that YOU prompt each one of YOUR adopted sons and daughters to develop the habit of seeking YOUR counsel first in all aspects of our lives from developing plans to finding a mislaid object.
