PO3 Bob McCord This movie affected Me as a kid. I 1st saw it in Honduras And it was funny that I left a couple seconds before the locals because I was hearing it in English. I vividly remember that the ending was a little bit different I think it had B-52 air strike and main explosions that were not seen and the American version. Have you seen Apocalypse now redux? It has a lot more story line. Even in that version, the ending wasn't the same as I remember as far as the pyrotechnics and the Cambodian temples. I notice that the Prince who flew Apache helicopters in Afghanistan had this movie on his table that he watched between missions. When I was a teenager, I was mean Working in the television and video department of a major memberships of Department store(Fedco). I would record Apocalypse now on local TV station especially the ride of the valkyries Helicopter attack scene and show the difference between 2 vs 4 head slow motion on the VCR to show how clear it was versus( On the 4 head) vs how blurry it was (on rhe 2 head)and I would show it to Asians. I would make the sale convincing them Of the better quality. I did not work on commission. Finally, one of the managers objected and made us a Erase that copy. I actually think he was upset about the playboy playmates dancing to Susie Q.

They don't make 'em like that any more. Did the music change the audience or did the audience change the music?
