The History Of The Devil

I thought that the devil was somebody invented for politicians to pay homage to.

So, Satan the accuser can only do what G-d tells him to do eh?

The following is my understanding of Lucifer, known today as Satan, gained from ancient Jewish sources: Lucifer, the smartest and most beautiful Angel ever created, told G-d his laws keep him from acceding to a higher creation. Very New Age don't you think?

G-d did not force Lucifer to worship him. G-d could have done so. Instead, G-d showed Lucifer, humans and the Heavenly host that a price must be paid for breaking G-d's laws. One can see this price in the old Testament where the Jewish Priests sacrificed pure animals for human sin.

When Eve believed in Lucifer's lie that she would not die. But, be as G-d. This was only half of the truth. Eve did not know death was in two parts. spiritual, then physical. Eating of the forbidden fruit, Eve died spiritually. A division occurred between her and the Creator. Just as a division occurred between Lucifer and G-d when the Arc-Angel refused to obey G-d's laws.

Now, how do we know G-d's laws are just? Because, G-d paid the price for humans breaking G-d's laws in the form of the word made flesh who was murdered as a perfect sacrifice for human sin. G-d loved his creation so much, that part of G-d that creates allowed himself to be murdered for it.

There is no need for redemption for Angels. There is a Satan that accuses humans. It tempted Job. It tempted Jesus, the word made flesh too. Humans can do nothing to earn salvation. Humans can accept G-d's sacrifice for human sin and worship G-d, or follow after Lucifer's New Age lies.

You can be your own god is a lie.
