I'm waiting for mine to come in. Decided it was time to after a couple incidents of misunderstanding people.

SGT David A. 'Cowboy' Groth - Glad to hear that David. I put it off for years but then got tired of not hearing people. Now I can hear myself piss, how exciting! LOL

CSM Richard StCyr - Good luck with them CSM. Youll be happy you have them. Once I got over the stigma of a disability, was OK with it. And to think I taught special education!

I started in the Infantry in 1969. I was an Air Cav Door Gunner and Crew Chief in Vietnam. I have Tinnitus. I'm sorry, what did you say?

I've had tinnitus for so long I am accustomed to it as "normal" background noise and I don't notice it most of the time. I have recently had to get hearing aids - and they have made my life a LOT easier. I used to hear people talking but I couldn't make out the words - but now I can.
I have lens implants now too and can see better than I could see in my youth. It is wonderful to be living in times where we can get replacement parts when our own parts give out.

I am glad the devices are helping you Capt Seid Waddell. My hearing aids do make a difference.
