I had a 30 year personal goal never to eat an MRE & I achieved it . Only 'stole' the M & M' s from # 10. Great deployment diet!

Actually, I never stood in line for an MRE. As always the Enlisted troops use to take great pride and actually competed...which one of them gave me the most M & M's!!!

I was always a fan of the RCW (rations, cold weather) - that is if you could get your hands on one.

"The six menus contain freeze-dried, cooked entrees such as chicken stew and spaghetti with meat sauce and other low moisture food. Items that may be used as a breakfast include a variety of different flavored oatmeal, a nut raisin mix, and fruit/cookie bars. Lunch items may contain chicken noodle soup, crackers, orange flavored beverage base; lemon flavored tea, apple cider, and candy. Each menu provides approximately 4500 kilocalories (8% protein, 32% fat, and 60% carbohydrate). The RCW provides sufficient kilocalories to meet energy expenditure during heavy exertion in extreme cold, while limiting sodium and protein content to reduce the risk of dehydration in arctic environments. The sodium content is 5 grams per ration."

Nothing compares to First Strike meals. Those were THE BOMB when you could get em. Only thing is, the folks who normally had em, could wipe the ground with your ass and not mess up their beards.

SGT (Join to see) - C-4 rations or C-4? I know you can use one to heat, and kill, the other one probably does the same with some hot sauce on it.

C Four, the kind that burns fast, SSG Warren Swan. We used it to heat up C-Rats. Just a little pinch...

SGT (Join to see) - I had to ask. I've never seen it done, only heard about it. It's when you go to put the fire out that creates problems right? Stomping on sudden moves can set it off?

SSG Warren Swan, When I say just a pinch, I mean just a pinch. It burns so fast, it's out almost as fast as it lit off. Here's a government d reading about it. Military grade C4 is different than other C4, but it all blows up stuff.
