Maybe I am being too skeptical about flashy things, but I looked further into the SoftBank deal and just like the Carrier deal I was hesitant to fully swallow the hype. The WSJ has a good article on this SoftBank deal which was in the works even before PE Trump put his fingers to tweet.
They also raise some decent questions which I am sure will work itself out for some of them and others...well we will just see.

I'm thinking this Acquisition was in the works just after Soft Bank bought Sprint.

Ho hum. The thing that people won't realize is that Japanese businessmen don't make rash decisions. This deal was years in the making.
