I was a Machine gunner. I don't get any kind of visceral thrill from a high rate of fire. I don't want to be in a "Spray and Pray" situation. Cleaning afterward is a PITA. A clean shot from distance is my preference. That being said, I see no reason that machineguns should be disallowed to citizens that want to waste their ammo. I do think the ATF is over stepping their remit and should be censured. The ATF was created, as enforcers, to ensure the Gov't didn't get cheated out of tax revenue by "Shiners". It does not get to make the rules. Only Congress does.
