The scary truth about how far behind American kids have fallen

Vox is a left leaning source. It is apparent in a couple of comments in the text of the article. Over all though it seems to be a good article on the education of our youth since the lockdowns. Here's a quote from the article that I felt was a very telling commentary, "Gross, the New Jersey English teacher, said she has seen improvement since her students were required to leave their cell phones at her desk during class. “For the first time in years, I’m seeing them talk to each other,” she said."
