When people talk about gun laws, they often forget that the judicial branch is supposed to determine what is constitutional and what isn't.
We are not a pure democracy. Being a pure democracy would insinuate any law could be passed so long as it had a majority vote. If legislators actually wanted to pass these gun laws, then the constitution would need to be amended before they did so.

There needs to be penalties when legislators write anti Constitutional laws.

CW3 Harvey K. Here's where they need to start. Even though this is a minor politician, she is inciting all sorts of illegal conduct.

CPL Douglas Chrysler - It is a custom of mine to remind those radicals, like the Socialist you mentioned, that the Founders of our Constitutional Republic recognized the right of people to change a government to suit what they see as better fulfilling their needs.
If there are those who are discontent with our present form of government, they are welcome to attempt to change it, at their personal risk. First, they should state their grievances and pledge their "lives, fortunes, and sacred honor" to their cause, as did our founders. If they lack the conviction to accept that danger, and are unwilling to make that sacrifice for their ideals, then they would be best to reconsider the revisions they demand in our present system of government.
