My parents were more Chevy and Ford fans.

Here is your father's Oldsmobile part 2. Remember, Chevy and Pontiac had very similar power plants so performance is very similar. The Mustangs, as you know, also went crazy as well and the Mustang helped continue the muscle car era that the Pontiac GTO has started.https://youtu.be/Y7ahuBE7YVY

LTC (Join to see) - The AMC Rebel and AMX, and to a lessor nod, the Javelin made a hellova run at the Pony Car crowd. I used to, or I mean I knew a guy that used to race a V8 Vega wagon against an AMX from a neighboring town. I was good enough, or I mean the Vega dude knew how to wrench and never lost to the AMX! LOL

But a 400 cubic inch stroker small block V8 Vega has an unfair Advantage because of his lightweight and you don't know if he was squeezing either? A stock AMC AMX is an unfair comparison. Thanks for the information though thanks!

It was sad to see GM break up like that. The only reason the kept Buick is that it was a big seller in China. Go figure!

I was really wondering why they got rid of Pontiac. Saturn I can understand, Buick I felt they kept it because Tiger Woods endorsed it for old people.

LTC (Join to see) - Pontiac would have been on my keep list. Buick is lame. They had the Skylark and GS, and in the 80's the GN and GNX. Otherwise it's always been a grandpa's car, IMO. GM execs said sales in China saved Buick.
