Sorry PO1-With respect, I'm not buying it, and I'll explain why.
It seems pretty certain that Russian Federation "operatives" used fraud, identity theft, etc. to participate in the campaign process...probably on both sides...towards creating disunity, ambiguity, etc...etc.. It also seems pretty clear (as of yet) that the candidates and their immediate advisers had nothing to do with that.
If the suggestion is that many people voted for either candidate "because" of this meddling...I take issue. People voted for one of two things this go around; progressive liberal policies, or conservative policies. I don't personally believe it would've mattered if Mrs. Clinton had sprouted white wings and flown to New Hampshire, or Mr. Trump had propositioned Megyn Kelly on air to most of them. It really wasn't as "close" as many would apparently like to believe.
Furthermore, I'm exhausted with what I can only call hypocrisy in some Democrats at suddenly being so concerned about foreign interference...This from the same people that ardently argue against any sense of American sovereignty.
Some people (I presume yourself) are sincerely concerned about Russian interference, and I can respect that. Others however, are simply unwilling to admit that there's a large number of Americans who are not on board with their party's platform or values, and voted as such.

I wholeheartedly agree...to a point. We did vote on our "feelings". However (and I know there are many exceptions to any supposed rule), I can't think of anyone I know...and know how they voted...who would've changed their intended vote for "R" or "D" based on anything posted on Facebook, pasted on a billboard, or acted out in the display cited in the above article. Maybe twenty years ago, people could vote "across their party line" because the major issues were centered on the economy, national defense and maybe "charisma"...now the parties are divided on moral, religious, social and ethical lines, which very few to anyone are willing to vote outside of.

AA Joseph Moody
SFC Shirley Whitfield - Honestly, I think the social justice movement did more to get Trump elected than any Russian plot ever could.

I would argue there are unwitting supporters on both sides - Steele's sources
Source A -a senior Russian Foreign Ministry figure
Source B -a former top level intelligence officer still active in the Kremlin
Source ....
so on and so on.
What makes you think FSB wouldn't support the idea of disparaging the Trump team?
As I have stated many times this was not about helping Trump this was more about hurting Clinton with the spill over benefit of undermining our political system. Any point of view that doesn't accept this fact is more or less confirming the success of Russian interference - both sides got played.
How it happened is really simple - sow discourse. This was rather easy to do in looking at the political platforms - sexual orientation, race, immigration and guns are just a couple of the many topics used to divide and conquer. The disinformation was as well easy to do - social media and the MSM were easily manipulated.
However all of this only acted as a catalyst to further conflate the already existing internal political conflicts - as well there is still the possibility that political bias within the FBI, DOJ, Senate and House may have contributed to the dynamics.

Now this is FUNNY! I mean CNN and MSNBC supported an ANTI TRUMP RALLY put on by the Russians. If a news agency can’t sort it out how does a simple citizen?
