Yes Dennis dragon is related to the captain from Captain and Tennille. May they both rest in peace. The backstory behind this is Malibu is a small Beach 27 miles but all the people from the San Fernando and San Gabriel Valley come there and so that's why they private beach and a talk about hating people from the valley and even having fist fights on the beach or in the water. Especially, if they cut them off while surfing.

LTC (Join to see) Yep, and they channeled that dislike into money! That's the capitalist way.

Tv show about language in Ca... starring the Surf Punks
LTC Trent Klug yes, did you ever see that they were on 20/20?
https://youtu.be/pZsLPdVfir0
Maybe it was PBS but it was weird that I saw that the surf punks were discussing the California slang.

Bernie Sanders isn't want to admit that he makes lots of money from his books and he basically hasn't worked all his life being a politician. AOC used to be a bartender who actually had a brain and knew something about economics but she had the Manchurian Candidate treatment and forgot all about it but she still wants to make money.

Surf Punks - My Beach (HQ) Live - Urgh! A Music War - 1980
From Urgh! A Music War :)
While at the San Francisco Airport flying to my Army reserve unit in Washington state, they had a surfing music display with classic guitars and memorabilia.

In the late '70s and early '80s a Southern California band called the surf punks combined surf music with punk rock basically the ventures and the Ramones.

I got to see the Surf Punks a couple of times. They were fun. Dennis Dragon was the brother of Darrell Dragon (the Captain in The Captain and Tenille) and Drew Steele was the step-son of Gavin McCleod (Moriarity in Kelly's Heroes and Captain Steubing on The Love Boat).

I've been to Bakersfield twice and four county fairs...
LTC Trent Klug it's too bad that dentist Dragon passed away and so has Scott Goddard. He was the valley dude in the band but I like his country Punk version cow Punk which was the next video I was going to put here to show how this GarageBand influenced a lot of people. Some fan made this video montage. Is interesting how the Ramones influenced the surf punks and surf music influence them to begin with.

LTC Trent Klug although the Scott Goddard song is pretty good and More Country like, the Vandals Urban struggle is also a funny punk rock country music mashup. The very last line is hilarious, I couldn't make it as a Punker'

LTC (Join to see) I haven't heard that in a long time. I had almost forgotten it. I am one of those cowpunks. I used to go out in cowboy hat, boots, belt with hubcap and a Ramones tshirt on.
I think The Ramones knew they were an influence on alot of people and bands. I know of several like Jason and the Scorchers, Dash Rip Rock, and even Cheap Trick.
