To many times we read or hear people address PTSD in broad terms, however, VA classifies it as Combat or Non Combat. Those with Combat PTSD seem indifferent to those with Non Combat PTSD and spend too much time debating the difference. Not sure I understand the difference when I look to Police, Firefighters or medical responders who come across horrific crime scenes, sometimes routinely and other times just once in their career. These first responders can suffer Non Combat PTSD, but Combat vets seem to diminish Non Combat PTSD as a insignificant. This short list that SGT Keith Bodine has listed reflects points on there that affect Non Combat PTSD folks also.
