I Know that the Ohio Class SSGN was an Afterthought, They were SSBN Boomers Ballistic Missile Launch Platforms later Modified to Tomahawk Launch Platforms (Ohio Was Literally Modified Under My Feet in Bremerton). After they were built, Russia upped their game by building the Typhoon, Same Length and twice as wide, Double Hull side by side. Expensive Bastards. Don't Know that I can Argue the Cost Effectiveness but I can't and won't argue against the Writers Point that it is Now Probably the US Best Projection of Power with the Number of Tomahawks this Bastard Can Carry, I Know the Max Load on the Virginia Class Cruisers was only 4 Tomahawks. Also One must remember that a Tomahawk can be equipped with various warheads to Include Nuclear (Although a Small Nuclear Load). Just Don't Know that the American Taxpayer is Up to Funding these Monsters of the Deep.
