The biggest problem with a warning shot is that the bullet is still going somewhere, SGT (Join to see), and it's trajectory will end in something (or someone) which wasn't a threat.

SGT (Join to see) It seems the article can’t be read unless one is a subscriber. Maybe you can give us a synopsis of it.

I didn't have a problem, but I used the firefox reader view feature, It's a comparison of 2 different times that residents of Tucson fired warning shots and the disparate outcomes. One was a JoP the other an average citizen. The JoP wasn't charged, the citizen was, although from the reading the citizen had a better reason. Which led to My opinion of Don't waste Your ammo.

If I draw my weapon the decision to drop the hammer has already been made. The hammer will drop in a few nano seconds.
