Horrendous-inhumanity to those Native Americans who had lived on those lands for centuries. I have that legacy of forced-relocation on my dad's side of the family. My grandma was half-Cherokee, and was born in Illinois.

The Seminoles were mostly moved to an interior area in South Florida on land abutting the Everglades... and the reservation is still there today...
