I am glad that Europe has a more robust attitude towards defense. They need standardization and more of a gloss over R&D costs.

All of Europe is on the metric system and use NATO centric requirements; I would say they are clearly standardized and it's us, the mighty US, that's always adapting our technology on a global scale.

They have some tremendous engineering in Europe; especially, the Germans. After all, our own Abrams is based off the German Leo model of heavy tanks.
