You can't meet eligibility requirements until you apply, submit your healthcare records, and undergo an evaluation to assess your rating. Once you do so, enrollment is very easy. You just have to get off your ass and do it.

Q: if the VA or the Service can make an immediate decision about the eligibility requirements for an EOS'ing Active Duty member prior to Honarable Discharge, what does that say about the current time factor for eligibility determinations in place at the VA?

PO1 John Johnson beats me. However they do provide back pay from the date of separation/retirement once you receive your rating so I still don’t understand what the point of this move is. If anything, I’d be concerned if I did not get an opportunity to identify and explain the issues I’m dealing with.
