Trump again calls media 'enemy of the people'

Forgive me if I missed it, this link provided by someone else on RP. Did I? Sorry, but it's bound to show up. It's another case of President Trump shoving his foot into his rather ample mouth. Now, before you jump all over me (or die from shock when you realize I just criticized President Trump), keep in mind that no one is perfect. Not him. Not President Obama. Not Presidents Reagan, FDR, Lincoln, or Washington. Not even President Calvin Coolidge. However, in the grand scheme of things, I'd rather take the hit for speaking too passionately than for being a total loser as a leader.

The truth is that the "media" (aka "The Mainstream Media or MSM" including major broadcasters such as ABC, CBS, and NBC, the narrowcasters such as CNN and MSNBC, and the major print services such as NY Times, Washington Post, and others) are biased and have frequently abandoned journalistic integrity to propagandize for the Left and their ideology.

Does that make the MSM "enemies of the people"? Hell no. Of course not. We the People have biases and agendas aplenty. We used to have a choice. Every major city and large town had "MSM" with competing points of view. Sadly, they have fallen to a culture that doesn't value hard news. They'd rather get their news in an entertaining fashion (which probably explains the popularity of new shows on The Comedy Channel).

Would someone please explain to President Trump that he needn't worry. We the People don't take the MSM seriously. A significant majority of us are such fools as to be led so easily astray. Sure, the Left has made significant progress in luring the ignorant and keeping them ignorant by focusing their messages on schools and colleges. They have garnered a significant following among illegal aliens who are easy prey to their promises. But, the young grow up and even illegal aliens become disillusioned when the Left fails to deliver. Give them time.
