According to a US Defense official that photo was from an earlier intelligence briefing and was not for public viewing . It’s good for our intelligence agencies to know what happened but now they , the Iranians , know we know .

I thought I heard POTUS last year say that because he was the Top of the Line when it came to Classification that it didn't matter what he released, it was within his authority.... so, if the President tweets it, it's no longer classified.

Some things you aren't ever going to have the bottom line on - for example, DID the US have something to do with the Iranian rocket explosion? We aren't going to know that. Was the photot that POTUS tweeted Classified? Most likely it was before he tweeted it. But, we'll never know. I supposed we could go ask for the previous photo and the next photo and if those come back as Classified, we'd be able to answer that question.
The point is, you can't always wait until you are 100% sure on something before writing about it. Otherwise, we wouldn't know half the stuff we already know.
