Trump's pick to lead VA isn't a veteran. Does that matter?

If he does the job, and does it well, I don't care if he is a purple unicorn.

As much as it pains me to say this, veterans have no corner on doing what is right for veterans and some actually are terrible at their jobs.

Does he understand the veteran's needs and will he fulfill those needs. THAT is what matters.

I think a proven understanding of veterans affairs and a track record of working with and for veterans should be suffice.
