Unless you actually work the border patrol, or pay actual attention to the type of races coming into the country from Mexico! No one is going to stop thinking it's just Mexicans that come through the south borders. But in a lot of actuality the Mexican migration in numbers has decreased significantly compared to the Asian populations, eastern Indian and Russian area a long with a few of their neighboring countries. Mexico itself is starting to see a rise and increase of immigration and is already a poor country to start with, having illegal immigration to them is economically devastating.
Again isolating the truth of the matter and calling it a race war is just people's lack of knowledge and ignorance! Canada has very strict enforcement laws about immigration (could be because thei mostly French ;p...lol...jk) so we don't see as much immigration through the north borders. Not saying there isn't by any means, but because Canada is a wealthier country like ours they can afford proper immigration checks and deportation. Mexico on the other hand cannot.
If I had to see this as a business contract between the US and Mexico and that the leaders of both countries are meeting to discuss it. I think Present Elect Trump is going to offer Mexico guidance on building up its country as well. Which would make sense if we are to be successful in the growth of our own country. Look at it like two grand houses where at one time used to have great potential! Then got old and neglected for years. If you just fix one up but the house next you is still in ruin, it doesn't matter how much you put into making the one house look prestige. The value of the house that's done has no real value because of its neighbors house.
So to me, it would make sense to meet with Mexico and offer diplomatic resolution instead of war. But of course all left wingers will only see a hate crime! Not a saluting to two countries overwhelmed by immigration. This is just my insight on this article.
Great Read though. Thank you for sharing Sir.

If the building of this wall relies on funding that is "recovered" from "Mexico" after it has been started or completed then the US taxpayer is going to pay for it all. Recovery as a method of payment infers that the funds so acquired will come from revenue denied to the Mexican government and not passed on to the US taxpayers in the form of extra cost of doing business with Mexico. Tariffs don't recover funds because governments don't pay tariffs. Tariffs are paid by exporters and the cost of those tariffs are passed to the importers who add their overhead, additional direct cost and profit margin to their price and the consumer(see Taxpayer above) pays the additional cost as increased prices of both imported and domestically produced goods. Another brilliant idea is paying for the project by using funds denied to "sanctuary cities." Are these funds the Pesos that Mexico sends us to support their sanctuary cities program in the US? Nope, the funds are US Funds moved from one federal budget item to another. The source of the funds is not Mexico; the source is the US taxpayer. Okay, so we will get the money from those nasty US corporations who move operations to Mexico and then send those products and/or components back into the US. This will be done using an punitive levy on those goods that will make it as expensive for the companies to produce cross border as it is to produce domestically. If the penalty adds cost greater than the cost of local production then it works like a tariff. The increased cost of the levy is passed to the consumer. This levy, in order for it to be effective, must be applied to all good/components capable of being produced here in the US and imported from any other NAFTA country, else those aforementioned nasty US corporations will move production from Mexico to some other NAFTA nation with low production costs.
Bottom line - if we begin building this wall before the Mexican government agrees to pay it with Mexican government funds the US taxpayer will get stuck with the bill.

Actually Sir, the US Taxpayer will pay for it first and then we would seek reimbursement from Mexico. Now with that said from the President, I like most, are still waiting for the details..... the Devil is always in the details. So until then, if Congress goes thru the process and source the funds, We The People, are footing the bill.

It is a smaller bill to pay then the current 84 billion we spend a year on supporting illegal immigration.

SFC (Join to see) - In the short term yes, but long term it will not. Also, do not forget to add the cost for extra border agents, etc etc etc.... those costs add up quick. My issue is not the wall... my issue is there is no plan, thus on top of the 84 mil, an additional 10bil plus will be had by us.

SGT (Join to see) - I'm sure he has a plan. He's been calling for that wall since his last run for president. And unfortunately border patrol is one of the top dangerous jobs in the country, next to soldiers being sent to war. Before Oboma did the open door policy border patrols got into serious situations. It's no more or less then being in a combat zone. The news only shows you the people coming across unarmed and with woman children. It doesn't show the almost daily fire fights these guys go through with the drug cartel.

Not arguing anything, but he is putting the cart before the horse concept in motion.... also incidents will continue especially while the wall is being built...... there is so much more to the concept, but overall.... my main comments about a plan and funds are what I refer to.
